Japanese Style Fries
The nice thing about a dish like this is that it is so versatile and the fun is in the layering. The bottom layer is baked Ore Ida golden fries. The next layer is ground pork seasoned with salt, pepper, the whites of green onions, garlic and white sesame seeds. We then added copious amounts of Bonito flakes, seaweed strips, kewpie mayo and togarashi shichimi, a Japanese spice mix blend of chili, orange peel, black sesame seeds, hemp seed, shiso, sansho pepper and ginger. We literally inhaled this dish and we had a lot of fun with the layering.
